A firm advocate of therapeutic massage for over 30 years, having personally benefited from it, I trained with the Western School in Glasgow initially obtaining the Diploma in Swedish Massage and then the Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage. This deals with a whole range of chronic injuries and muscle tension encountered in the clinical and sporting environment. I have since gone on to learn about hot stone massage and provide that as part of a Swedish or Remedial massage, or as a stand-alone massage.

 

I believe in the proven abilities of massage to:

• relax both the body and the mind

• reduce muscle tension

• increase range of movement previously limited by injury or stress.

 

I would go so far as to say that massage has kept me upright and mobile through years of gardening, rowing, running ....................................

 

I am a member of the SMTO (Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation), as well and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and am insured by Balens.
